Wittenham Clumps

We've previously visited Wittenham Clumps as part of a Pathfinder walk. Since moving house, the clumps are very close and this was a gentle stroll to the top.

Wallingford

A very short walk from a Pathfinder book around Wallingford. The beautiful autumn colours were the focus of our picture-taking.

Woburn Park and Eversholt

This 12.9km walk started in Woburn and involved a lot of time walking through the estate of Woburn Abbey and the deer park. Half-way half-pint was at the Green Man in Eversholt. It was a fantastically varied walk with fields, open grasslands, woodland and views of lakes. Lots of deer pictures below. The pathfinder book says that this "must rank as one of the great classic walks of Bedfordshire".

Turvey

Our first walk from the Hertfordshire and Bedforshire pathfinder book. The walk is in the valley of the Great Ouse and seemed to mainly comprise of straw fields. The walk is 10.5 km and started in Turvey where we had lunch lunch at The Three Cranes.

Dorchester and Wittenham Clumps

A short 7.2km walk starting in Dorchester, walking alongside the Thames and then up to Wittenham Clumps for fantastic views over Dorchester and the Chilterns. Didcot power station was also highly visible. Unfortunately, and rather poorly for a photo blog, there are no photos from this walk. Just happy memories!

Wales - Snowdonia National Park

A group of photos from around Betws-y-Coed. Spent a night camping in the area, Pentre du Farm campsite I think, with our friend Claire and walked along the River Llugway that evening. Also visited Capel Curig which offered a very dramatic and craggy view compared to the green forests around Betws-y-Coed.

Completely inconspicuous.

Abingdon and Sutton Courtenay

A 7 mile (11.3km) walk that follows the River Thames closely for long stretches. Starting in Abingdon the walk follows the Thames through Culham and Sutton Courtenay.

Kiruba, the WWF elephant, came with us on this walk:
